Inclusive sex education is an approach to teaching sexuality and relationships that is comprehensive, unbiased, and inclusive of all individuals. Inclusive sex education makes an effort to consider all identities and backgrounds, including race, religious beliefs, culture, abilities, and much more. All of these factors can impact the decisions that someone makes about sex. This article focuses on the importance of making sex education inclusive for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, and other non-straight-identifying (LGBTQ+) people to address the needs of our youth.
